Starlink Internet reached Antarctica

Elon Musk's satellite Internet
company SpaceX's Starlink Internet is now available on the continent of
Antarctica.
  Elon Musk and the National
Science Foundation (NSF) are testing the Internet in the coldest part of the
Earth (Antarctica).

About a thousand people live and
work at McMurdo Station in Antarctica.

They were provided satellite internet by different companies, but the
internet was not suitable for them.

Starlink Internet reached Antarctica

According to the United States
Antarctica Program, everyone there now has 17 Mbps Internet access.  However, now with the availability of
Starlink, they will be better than the previous internet.  Earlier, OneWeb had expanded satellite
internet in some areas of the North Pole and Antarctica.

Before that, SpaceX and the NASA Science
Foundation tested the Internet at the Starlink terminal at the McMurdo Station
in Antarctica.
  NFC hopes to increase the
bandwidth of the Internet there and support scientists doing research in the
rural areas of Antarctica.

Scientists working at McMurdo
Station will not be able to use Netflix and video calls.
In some cases, Skype can be used for various
meetings.

It is said that Starlink will provide internet
speed from 50 to 200 Mbps.
