announced her retirement. Sharing a post on the social network Instagram,
40-year-old Williams announced her retirement. She said that she plans to
retire after the US Open next month.
She wrote on Instagram, 'There comes a time in
life, where we have to take a decision to move in a different
direction. It is always difficult when you have to give up something that
you love very much.'

her career. She won the US Open in 1999, 2002, 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
