with work permits, and nearly 11,000 people lost their lives in the process of employment.

 According to the Foreign Employment Board, 10 thousand 932
people who went to work abroad with work permits have died abroad from the
financial year 2065/66 to 2078/79. 



This number is the statistics kept by the board based on
the financial assistance given to the workers who went to work abroad with work
permit and who died during the work period. The board does not provide
financial assistance to those who die after the end of the labor period and the
board does not have their data. 



According to the statistics of the board, in the financial
year 2065/66, 219,965 people were employed abroad and 87 people died.



The number of deaths abroad increased by 343 people in the
financial year 2066/67 and 294 thousand 94 people have taken work permits to go
for foreign employment, while 421 people have died in connection with foreign
employment. 



HOW MANY PEOPLE DIED IN WHICH YEAR?



The statistics of the board show that the number of workers
who lost their lives abroad also gradually increased due to the increase in
foreign employment.



According to the statistics published by the board, 564
people died in the financial year 2067/68, 647 people in the financial year
68/69, 772 people in the financial year 2069/70, 877 people in the financial
year 2070/71, and 1006 people in the financial year 2071/72. is But since
the financial year 2072/73, it seems that the number of Nepalese who lost their
lives during foreign employment has decreased.



826 people died in the financial year 2072/73, 758 people
in the financial year 2073/74, 826 people in the financial year 2074/75, 763
people in the financial year 2075/76, and 672 people in the financial year
2076/77. But this number has increased in the financial year 2077/78.



Compared to the previous year, this number has almost
doubled to 1,243 people, while in the financial year 2078/79, 1,479 people died
during foreign employment. 



Similarly, during this period, 2125 people came to the
country with disabilities due to various reasons, including accidents, as a
result of foreign employment. 



 THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE GOING TO FOREIGN EMPLOYMENT
IS THE HIGHEST SINCE 14 YEARS



According to the statistics of the Department of Foreign
Employment, the number of people going to foreign employment is also the
highest since the financial year 2065/66. 



In the financial year 2065/66, two lakh 19 thousand 965
people went for foreign employment, after 14 years this number increased to 630
thousand 97 people in the financial year 2078/79.



Statistics show that two lakh 94 thousand 94 people went
abroad in 2066/67 and three lakh 54 thousand 716 people went abroad for
employment in the financial year 2067/68.



In the financial year 2068/69, 384 thousand 665 people, in
the financial year 2069/70, 450 thousand 889 people, in 2070/71, 527 thousand 814
people have taken work permit to go for foreign employment.



Similarly, in the financial year 2071/72, 4 lakh 99
thousand 102, in the financial year 2072/73, 4 lakh 3 thousand 174, in the
financial year 2073/74, 3 lakh 83 thousand 493 young people have gone
abroad.  



In the financial year 2074/75, 354 thousand 82 people, 236
thousand 208 people in the financial year 2075/76, 190 thousand 453 people in
the financial year 2076/77 and 72 thousand 81 people in the financial year
2077/78 have received work permit. .



But in the last financial year, this number has increased
to more than 6 lakh. According to the statistics of the Department of
Foreign Employment, 630,097 people received work permits for foreign employment
last year, the highest in 14 years. 



INCREASED DISPATCH



In the last fiscal year 2078/079, it seems that remittances
also increased due to the increase in foreign employment. In the last
fiscal year, more than 10 billion rupees of remittances have been received in
Nepal.



According to the statistics of Nepal Rastra Bank,
remittances increased by 4.8 percent to 10 trillion seven billion 31 million
rupees in the last financial year. Remittance inflow in US dollars has
increased by 2.2 percent to 8.33 billion rupees.



Nepalese who have gone for foreign employment have sent 84
trillion 66 billion rupees as remittances to the country in the last 14 years,
i.e. from the financial year 2065/66 to the financial year 2078/79.
